At PBC Languages (People Building Connections), we aim to create a fair, transparent, community-friendly experience for all students. Because our system is based on subscriptions, credits, teacher availability, and live classes, this Refund Policy explains clearly when refunds are possible and how we handle cancellations, missed classes, technical issues, and subscription changes.
1. Free Trial
All new students receive a 7-day free trial with up to 2 free classes.
During the trial:

No payment is required.

You may cancel at any time.

No refunds apply because no charge occurs.

2. Subscriptions
After the trial, your chosen plan becomes active and renews automatically every month.
2.1 Refunds for subscription payments
Refunds are available only in the following cases:
✔️ Duplicate or erroneous charges
If you were charged twice or charged incorrectly due to a system error.
✔️ Immediate cancellation after renewal
If you forgot to cancel and contact us within 24 hours of renewal, we refund the full amount (as long as no credits were used after the renewal).
❌ We do NOT issue refunds when:

You used credits after the renewal.

You changed your mind later in the month.
-
You could not attend classes due to schedule issues.

You forgot to use your credits.
In these cases, we can pause your plan or extend credit validity, but refunds do not apply.
3. Credits & Class Usage
3.1 Missed classes (student side)

If you miss a group class, the credit is considered used and cannot be refunded.

If you miss a private class without notifying the teacher at least 6 hours before, the credit is also considered used.
3.2 Teacher no-show or cancellation
If a teacher cancels, arrives late, or a class cannot take place due to a teacher issue:
✔️ The credit is automatically returned to you.
✔️ If the platform fails to return it, you can contact us and we will adjust it manually.
❌ No monetary refund applies, but credits are always restored.
4. Technical Issues
4.1 If the problem is on PBC’s side
If a session cannot run due to technical failure from PBC or the teacher:

The class is rescheduled or
-
The credit is returned.
4.2 If the problem is on the student’s side
(e.g., unstable connection, device not working)

The credit cannot be refunded, but we may consider exceptions in rare cases.
5. Pausing or Cancelling Your Subscription
You may cancel or pause your subscription anytime.
Changes apply to the next billing cycle.

Cancelling does not delete your unused credits.
-
Credits remain valid for 30 days after cancellation.

No refunds apply for unused credits.
6. Gift Cards & Promotions

Gift cards and promotional credits are non-refundable.

They may not be exchanged for cash.
